CDI-T Auditing

The Chemical Distribution Institute (CDI) provides the chemical industry with an independent organization for auditing, qualification, and accreditation of inspectors and a web site database on which inspection reports can be listed, managed, and assessed. The CDI-T audit is composed of more than 1800 questions within the management and technical sections. On average, an audit requires three to four days for completion. The CDI-T audit conducted by authorized CDI-T inspectors is designed to:

• Improve the Safety & Quality Performance of Bulk Liquid Storage for the Chemical Industry
• Provide Chemical Companies with a Cost Effective System for Risk Assessment, Thus Assisting in the Commitment to Responsible Care
• Provide a Single Set of Accurate, Reliable & Consistent Inspection Data Which Chemical Companies Can Use with Confidence

Process Safety Management (PSM)

OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Chemicals (HHC's) standard requires certain companies to design appropriate programs to prevent or minimize the consequences of catastrophic releases of HHC's. LAAP can conduct a gap analysis of your PSM program and facility to determine shortcomings and inconsistencies that could result in major fines from OSHA and worse, catastrophic events. Once the gap analysis is completed, we can assist by tailoring your PSM program to suit your unique needs.

IMPCAS (International Marine Pack Cargo Assessment Scheme)

The Chemical Distribution Institute (CDI) has developed guidelines and procedures for International Marine Packed Cargo for hazardous chemicals. Pat Patterson, CSP is an IMPCAS auditor, accredited by the Chemical Distribution Institute to conduct IMPCAS audits of Tank Container Operators, Container Port Terminals, Freight Forwarders, and Shipping Agents.

ISO 45001

ISO 45001 is an international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OH&S MS), which has replaced OHSAS 18001, that specifies requirements for an OH&S Management System to enable organizations to proactively manage their OH&S performance in preventing injury and ill health, along with controlling their occupational health and safety risks. LAAP is prepared to assist you in the development and implementation of your ISO 45001 Management System in preparation for certification. Phase I consists of a comprehensive Gap Analysis to determine any shortcomings and corrective actions that may be needed prior to contacting a Registrar for ISO certification. This analysis will include a review of your internal policies, procedures, and documentation as they pertain to ISO 45001 Management System Guidelines. Phase II is where we assist you in "filling the gaps" and implementation of your OH&S Management System.  Phase III is where our representative, competent in ISO 45001, will serve are your "internal auditor", as required by ISO 45001 Clause 9.2, performing the required internal audit at intervals specified by you in your OH&S Management System.  Contact LAAP for more information regarding our ISO 45001 Consulting and Certification Assistance

ANSI Z10

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) developed ANSI Z10, which is a voluntary consensus standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. This consensus standard provides an effective management tool for organizations to continuously improve their occupational health and safety performance. It focuses on principles that are broadly applicable to organizations of all sizes and types and is compatible with occupational health and safety, environmental and quality management systems. LAAP assists your company by conducting comprehensive auditing to ensure conformance with this consensus standard.
